Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup of sugar until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pie dish to form the crust.

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool.

In a saucepan, combine the remaining sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually whisk in the heavy cream.

Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Gradually whisk in 1/2 cup of the hot cream mixture.

Pour the egg mixture back into the saucepan and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

Cut the cantaloupe into small cubes and arrange them in the cooled pie crust.
