Candy Apple Pie
Candy Apple Pie is a popular dessert during the fall season, especially around Halloween. It combines the flavors of caramel apples and traditional apple pie.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.

Peel, core, and slice the apples.

In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well.

Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.

Dot the top of the apple mixture with small pieces of unsalted butter.

Roll out the second pie crust and place it on top of the apple mixture.

Trim and crimp the edges of the pie crust.

Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.

Bake the pie for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for at least 30 minutes.
