Brown Butter Buttermilk Biscuits
Brown butter, also known as beurre noisette, is made by cooking butter until the milk solids turn brown. It adds a nutty and rich flavor to baked goods.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and brown sugar.

Cut the cold butter into small cubes and add it to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the buttermilk. Stir until just combined.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together.

Roll the dough out to a 1-inch thickness and use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits. Place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
