  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease the madeleine molds.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Continue cooking until the butter turns golden brown and gives off a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, lemon zest, and lemon thyme.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until frothy. Gradually add the cooled brown butter while whisking continuously.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold until just combined.
  6. Spoon the batter into the prepared madeleine molds, filling each about 3/4 full.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the madeleines are golden brown around the edges and spring back when lightly touched.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool in the molds for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy!
