Bread Pudding
Bread pudding dates back to the 11th century and was originally known as ‘poor man’s pudding’ because it was a way to use up stale bread.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 75 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 8.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease a baking dish with butter.

Cut the stale bread into cubes and place them in the baking dish.

In a saucepan, heat the milk until warm but not boiling.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.

Slowly pour the warm milk into the egg mixture, whisking continuously.

Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes, making sure all the bread is soaked.

Sprinkle raisins over the top.

Dot the bread pudding with butter.

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before serving.
