Bread Machine Kneaded Challah
Challah is a traditional Jewish bread that is often braided and eaten on Shabbat and holidays.

In the bread machine pan, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix well.

Add the vegetable oil, eggs, and water to the bread machine pan. Select the dough cycle and start the machine.

Once the dough cycle is complete, remove the dough from the bread machine and divide it into 3 equal parts.

Roll each part into a long rope and braid them together.

Place the braided dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 2 hours.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a small bowl, whisk the egg yolk with a tablespoon of water. Brush the egg wash over the braided dough.

Sprinkle sesame seeds over the dough.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool before serving.
