  1. In a bread machine pan, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the milk, egg, vanilla extract, and butter until warm (about 45 seconds).
  3. Pour the milk mixture into the bread machine pan.
  4. Select the dough cycle and start the machine.
  5. Once the dough is ready, remove it from the machine and roll it out on a floured surface to about 1/2-inch thickness.
  6. Use a doughnut cutter to cut out doughnuts and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Cover the doughnuts with a clean kitchen towel and let them rise for about 30 minutes.
  8. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Fry the doughnuts in batches for about 1-2 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  10. Remove the doughnuts from the oil and drain them on a paper towel-lined plate.
  11. Dust the doughnuts with powdered sugar while they are still warm.
