  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Divide the dough in half. Add one half back to the mixing bowl and mix in the cocoa powder until well combined.
  6. Roll out each dough into a rectangle shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Stack the two dough rectangles on top of each other, pressing lightly to adhere.
  8. Starting from one end, roll the dough tightly into a log.
  9. Wrap the log in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  10. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  11. Slice the log into 1/4 inch thick rounds and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  12. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  13. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
