Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round baking dish.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add apples, brown sugar, and pecans. Cook until apples are tender, about 5 minutes.

Pour the pancake batter into the prepared baking dish. Spoon the cooked apples and pecans on top.
