  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
