  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Cut in the unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. In a small bowl, beat the egg and vanilla extract together. Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture and mix until well combined.
  4. Press two-thirds of the dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
  5. In another bowl, toss the mixed berries with cornstarch and lemon juice until well coated. Spread the berry mixture evenly over the crust.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix together the remaining one-third of the dough, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this crumb mixture over the berries.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the berries are bubbling.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the baking dish for 30 minutes before cutting into bars.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
