Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.

Gradually whisk in the milk, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Cook until thickened.

Layer half of the potatoes in a greased baking dish. Pour half of the sauce over the potatoes.

Repeat with the remaining potatoes and sauce.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.

Remove the foil, brush the potatoes with BBQ sauce, and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
