Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking pan with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, granulated sugar, and egg until well combined.

In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, ground almonds, candied orange peel, candied lemon peel, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, nutmeg, and baking powder.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well until a thick dough forms.

Transfer the dough to the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly using a spatula.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

While still warm, cut the baked dough into bars or squares.
