  4. Pour the mixture into a greased cake pan.
  5. Slice the bananas and arrange them on top of the sugar mixture.
  6. Sprinkle the walnuts over the bananas.
  7. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  8. In another bowl, cream together the sugar and eggs.
  9. Add the vanilla extract and milk to the sugar mixture.
  10. Gradually add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture, stirring until well combined.
  11. Pour the batter over the bananas and walnuts in the cake pan.
