  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, alternating with the milk.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
