  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and golden flaxseed meal.
  4. In a large bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and brown sugar.
  5. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and mashed bananas.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the pecans.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
