  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a food processor, combine walnuts, chocolate chips, sugar, cinnamon, and cloves. Pulse until finely chopped.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  4. Brush a baking dish with melted butter.
  5. Layer 6 sheets of phyllo dough in the baking dish, brushing each layer with melted butter.
  6. Spread the walnut-chocolate mixture evenly over the phyllo dough.
  7. Layer the remaining 6 sheets of phyllo dough on top, again brushing each layer with melted butter.
  8. Using a sharp knife, cut the baklava into diamond or square shapes.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine water, sugar, lemon juice, and honey. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  11. Pour the hot syrup over the baked baklava.
  12. Allow the baklava to cool and absorb the syrup for at least 1 hour before serving.
