Jalapeno peppers are named after the Mexican town of Xalapa.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cut the jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.

In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, garlic powder, and paprika.

Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture.

Place the filled jalapeno halves on a baking sheet.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the jalapenos are tender and the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
