Baked Apple Cinnamon Rolls
Cinnamon rolls are believed to have originated in Sweden and were brought to the United States by Swedish immigrants in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until a soft dough forms.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread the diced apples evenly over the dough. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.

Starting from one long side, roll up the dough tightly. Cut into 12 equal slices.

Place the slices in a greased baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle over the warm cinnamon rolls.
