Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a large bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, oil, and eggs. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
