  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 4 equal squares.
  3. Peel and core the apples, then cut them into small pieces.
  4. In a bowl, mix the apples, sugar, and cinnamon.
  5. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture on each pastry square.
  6. Fold the pastry over the filling to create a triangle shape.
  7. Press the edges to seal the turnovers.
  8. Brush the tops of the turnovers with beaten egg.
  9. Place the turnovers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
