Apple Turnovers
Apple turnovers are believed to have originated in Northern Europe, where they were traditionally made with a flaky pastry filled with apples and spices.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 4 equal squares.

Peel and core the apples, then cut them into small pieces.

In a bowl, mix the apples, sugar, and cinnamon.

Place a spoonful of the apple mixture on each pastry square.

Fold the pastry over the filling to create a triangle shape.

Press the edges to seal the turnovers.

Brush the tops of the turnovers with beaten egg.
