  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Peel, core, and chop the apples into small pieces.
  3. In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until the apples are soft and caramelized, stirring occasionally.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut each into 6 equal squares.
  5. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each square. Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Brush the turnovers with beaten egg.
  7. Place the turnovers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Allow the turnovers to cool for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
