  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and line a pie dish with it.
  3. Peel and slice the apples, then mix them with brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch.
  4. Spread the apple mixture evenly in the pie crust.
  5. Sprinkle the mixed nuts on top of the apples.
  6. Dot the butter on top of the nuts.
  7. Roll out the remaining pie crust and cut it into strips.
  8. Create a lattice pattern on top of the pie using the pie crust strips.
  9. Beat the egg and brush it over the lattice crust.
  10. Bake the pie for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  11. Let the pie cool for 30 minutes before serving.
