  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Break the matzo sheets into small pieces and place them in a large bowl. Pour hot water over the matzo and let it soak for 5 minutes. Drain and squeeze out any excess water.
  3. Peel and core the apples, then chop them into small pieces.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, raisins, melted butter, and salt.
  5. Add the soaked matzo and chopped apples to the egg mixture. Mix well.
