Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, combine the apples, flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well.

Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

Remove from the oven and spread the apple pie filling evenly over the baked crust.

Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture over the apple pie filling.

Bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
