Apple Bran Muffins
Bran muffins became popular in the United States in the 1970s as a healthy alternative to traditional muffins.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 45 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 12.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners.

In a large bowl, combine the bran flakes, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, brown sugar, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the chopped apples and walnuts.

Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.

Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let the muffins cool in the tin for 5 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
