Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Peel, core, and slice the apples. Place them in a baking dish along with the blackberries and sugar.

In a separate bowl, mix the flour and butter together until it resembles breadcrumbs.

Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the fruit.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the crumble is golden and the fruit is bubbling.

While the crumble is baking, prepare the custard by mixing the custard powder with a little cold milk to form a paste.

Heat the remaining milk in a saucepan until almost boiling, then pour it over the custard powder paste, stirring continuously.

Return the custard mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

Serve the warm crumble with the custard.
