  2. Peel and slice the peaches.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Toss until well coated.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, brown sugar, almonds, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Cut the unsalted butter into small pieces and add it to the flour mixture. Use your fingers to rub the butter into the dry ingredients until it resembles coarse crumbs.
