Addictive Chocolate Truffles
Truffles are named after the edible fungi of the same name, due to their similar shape and appearance.
This is vegetarian and gluten free recipe. Dish can be prepared in 140 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 7.

Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces.

In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and butter over low heat until the butter melts.

Remove the saucepan from heat and add the chopped chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted.

Stir in the cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until well combined.

Let the mixture cool at room temperature for about 2 hours until it thickens.

Once the mixture has thickened, use a spoon or a small ice cream scoop to scoop out portions of the mixture.

Roll each portion into a ball using your hands.

Optional: Roll the truffles in crushed nuts or cocoa powder for additional flavor.

Place the truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.
