  2. Slice the eggplant into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
  3. Place the eggplant slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil.
  4. Bake the eggplant slices for 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. In a small saucepan, heat the garlic and tomato sauce over medium heat.
  6. Remove the eggplant slices from the oven and spread a spoonful of tomato sauce on each slice.
