Herbed Green Bean Casserole
Green bean casserole is a popular Thanksgiving side dish in the United States, and it was created by the Campbell Soup Company in the 1950s.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, and cook until softened.

Sprinkle flour over the onion and garlic, stirring constantly for 1 minute.

Gradually whisk in vegetable broth and milk. Cook until the sauce thickens.

Stir in dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and black pepper.

Add the blanched green beans to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.

Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish.

In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle the mixture over the green beans.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and the casserole is bubbling.
