Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Steam the broccoli until tender, then drain and set aside.

In a large bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, mayonnaise, diced onion, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.

Add the steamed broccoli and cheddar cheese to the bowl and stir until well combined.

Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.

Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top of the casserole.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
