Nutella Sandwich Cookies
Nutella was created in the 1940s by an Italian pastry maker named Pietro Ferrero during World War II when cocoa was in short supply.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 60 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 10.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Roll the dough into 24 equal-sized balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass or the palm of your hand.

Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool completely.

Spread a generous amount of Nutella onto the bottom of one cookie and sandwich it with another cookie.

Repeat with the remaining cookies.

Let the cookies rest for 30 minutes to allow the Nutella to set.
