In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, butter, milk, granulated sugar, and yeast. Mix well until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough back in the bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rest for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and brown sugar.

Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and roll each portion into a long rope.

Dip each rope into the cinnamon-sugar mixture, coating it well.

Twist the coated ropes into a spiral shape, tucking the ends underneath.

Place the bolussen on the prepared baking tray, leaving some space between each.

Let the bolussen rest for another 30 minutes.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
