In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and cinnamon. Mix well.

Add raisins and mix again.

In a small saucepan, heat milk, water, and butter until warm (about 110°F/43°C).

Pour the warm milk mixture into the flour mixture and stir until a shaggy dough forms.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest for 2 hours.

After 2 hours, the dough should have doubled in size. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and shape it into a rectangle.

Roll up the dough tightly, starting from one of the long sides, into a log.

Place the log into a greased loaf pan.

Cover the loaf pan with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise for another 30 minutes.

Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the risen dough.

Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown.

Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

Transfer the bread to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
