Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes.

In a pan, heat vegetable oil and add sliced onions. Fry until golden brown.

Add chopped garlic, ginger, and green chili. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.

Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Stir well.

Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan. Stir gently to coat the rice with the spices.

Add water and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and cover the pan.

Cook for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.

In a separate pan, dry roast the almonds until lightly golden.

Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and garnish with roasted almonds and fresh coriander leaves.
