Monkey bread gets its name from the way it is traditionally eaten – by pulling apart the individual pieces, resembling a monkey’s playful behavior.

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, yeast, and salt.

In a saucepan, heat milk and butter until butter is melted. Let it cool slightly.

Add milk mixture and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.

Punch down the dough and divide into small pieces. Roll each piece into a ball.

Dip each ball into melted butter, then roll in the brown sugar mixture.

Arrange the coated balls in a greased baking pan.

Cover with a clean towel and let it rise for another 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
