Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, yeast, salt, and granulated sugar.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the warm milk, pumpkin puree, and melted butter.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  7. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  8. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
  9. Spread the melted butter over the rolled-out dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly.
  10. Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log.
  11. Cut the log into 12 equal slices and place them in the greased baking dish.
  12. Cover the dish with a damp cloth and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  13. Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
  14. While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  15. Once the rolls are done, let them cool slightly before drizzling the glaze over the top.
  16. Serve warm and enjoy!
