Wash and soak the basmati rice for 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the paneer until golden brown. Remove and keep aside.

In the same pan, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

Add ginger, garlic, and green chili and cook for 2 minutes.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.

Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add water and bring it to a boil.

Drain the soaked rice and add it to the boiling mixture. Cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.

Add fried paneer and garam masala. Mix gently.

Cover and cook for another 5 minutes until the rice is cooked.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
