Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, combine the mixed fruits, lemon juice, cornstarch, and 1/4 cup of granulated sugar. Mix well and set aside.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until just combined.

Pour the fruit mixture into a baking dish and spread it evenly.

Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit dough on top of the fruit, covering it as much as possible.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the fruit is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
