  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and line a pie dish with it.
  3. Peel, core, and slice the apples.
  4. In a bowl, mix the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, flour, and lemon juice.
  5. Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.
  6. Dot the top of the pie with small pieces of butter.
  7. Roll out the remaining pie crust and cut it into strips.
  8. Arrange the strips in a lattice pattern on top of the pie.
  9. Beat the egg and brush it over the lattice crust.
  10. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  11. Remove the pie from the oven and let it rest for 1 hour before serving.
