Grate all the cheeses and set aside.

Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the garlic cloves.

Gradually add the grated cheeses to the pot, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with the kirsch and lemon juice until smooth.

Add the cornstarch mixture to the cheese mixture and continue stirring until thickened.

Season with nutmeg and black pepper.

Cut the French baguette into bite-sized cubes.
