Spider Cupcakes
Spider cupcakes are a fun and spooky treat often enjoyed during Halloween parties and events.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined. Stir in the black food coloring gel.

Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling them about 2/3 full. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.

Frost each cupcake with chocolate frosting and use licorice laces to create spider legs on top. Place two candy eyes on each cupcake.
