In a large bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, and cayenne pepper.

Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped jalapeno pepper.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, and honey.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the muffins are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
