Spiced Butter-Glazed Carrots
Carrots were first cultivated in Afghanistan over 1,000 years ago and were originally purple or white, not orange.
This is vegetarian and gluten free recipe. Dish can be prepared in 35 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 8.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Peel and slice the carrots into thick diagonal pieces.

Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

Add the brown sugar, ground cumin, ground paprika, salt, and black pepper to the melted butter. Stir well.

Place the sliced carrots on a baking sheet and pour the spiced butter mixture over them. Toss to coat evenly.

Roast the carrots in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until they are tender and slightly caramelized.

Remove from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes.

Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
