Cake pops were first popularized by baker and blogger Angie Dudley, also known as Bakerella, in 2008.

This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 120 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 12.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pop mold.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, oil, and eggs according to the package instructions.
  3. Pour the batter into the cake pop mold and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  4. Let the cake pops cool completely.
  5. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the frosting.
  6. Once the cake pops have cooled, remove them from the mold and shape them into snowman heads.
  7. Insert a lollipop stick into each snowman head.
  8. Dip each snowman head into melted white chocolate and let it set.
  9. Use melted orange candy melts to create the snowman's carrot nose and melted black candy melts to make the eyes and mouth.
  10. Attach candy eyes to the snowman's face.
  11. Allow the cake pops to set completely before serving.
