  1. Wash the basmati rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add cloves, cinnamon stick, and cardamom pods. Fry for a minute.
  3. Add chopped onion, garlic, ginger, and green chili. Saute until the onion turns golden brown.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan. Mix gently.
  7. Add 4 cups of water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.
  8. Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and drizzle lemon juice.
  10. Serve hot.
