‘Sig’s Apple and Raisin Crumble’

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Peel, core, and dice the apples.

In a mixing bowl, combine the diced apples, raisins, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, mix the plain flour, demerara sugar, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.

Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Spoon the apple and raisin mixture into a baking dish.

Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the crumble is golden and the apples are tender.
