Salted Caramel Banana Bread
Banana bread became popular during the Great Depression as a way to use overripe bananas that would have otherwise been thrown away.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 85 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 10.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.

Add the melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Stir until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.

Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the batter. Sprinkle half of the sea salt flakes on top.

Repeat with the remaining batter, salted caramel sauce, and sea salt flakes.

Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
