In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Cut in the butter and cream cheese until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape each into a disk. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

On a lightly floured surface, roll out each dough disk into a 1/8-inch thick circle.

Spread the jam or fruit preserves evenly over each dough circle. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and cinnamon.

Cut each circle into 8 wedges. Roll up each wedge from the wide end to the point.

Place the rugelach on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Allow the rugelach to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
